In February 2009, we began our Permaculture Diploma. This collaborative blog is our way of documenting and sharing everything we find and learn along the way.
this blog is on a "blackscreen" to conserve energy. white screens waste watts.

so how's it all going out there?
just a quickie to see how others are faring in this enormous task! i am quite overwhelmed though seem to be on top of it after spending most of today (sleep deprived and all after working night shift too) on the assessment task...
There is, may I say plenty of reading to do, but with much good information to gather in my head along the way. The presentations will be interesting to hear and give our class an insightful look at the task ahead with all changes to regulations etc.I'm slowly putting it all together, with a good outcome I hope.
I've really struggled to work out what to include once I was faced with all the info. Spent many hours on quite a lot of days just reading and coming to grips with tables and charts and maps, not being used to evaluating such, it was very slow going. I'm about 3/4 done now, but not clear on whether Virginia wants us to also write about the property itself, seeing as Toni Anne knows all about that already. I'm leaning towards omitting that. What is your understanding on this? The report is about the BIOREGION, not so much the proprty, ja? Would love to hear some views.Hope I can get some sleep tonight without my mind churning it all over for once. I have a feeling I may have written too much. Is what we have just written "the report" we are to give, or do we have to create a Readers Digest version of this assignment to present in class? I hope this question makes sense. Hope you enjoy the garage sale , Meggs, I'd love to have gone but can't.
